On: The Latest with Bobby Clarke
Well, we just couldn't go a day without posting something to do with Philadelphia Flyers general manager Bobby Clarke. After talking to a source, the latest suggestions are as follows: Clarke will look to add at least one defenseman by deadline day. His current targets are Phoenix's Derek Morris and Dennis Gauthier, as well as St. Louis' Eric Weinrich. He will look to make a significant addition on the offensive side of things, with captain Keith Primeau sidelined for the rest of the year. His targets include Florida's Olli Jokinen, and would be interested in St. Louis' Keith Tkachuk, but it does not appear he will be moving. He may also be looking at St. Louis' Dallas Drake. Recently the Todd Bertuzzi rumours have picked up, however nothing will happen there. But if Bertuzzi for some reason is shopped by Dave Nonis, Clarke would not be able to resist the temptation. Once again, it's very doubtful Bertuzzi will be available. The source suggests that while Clarke's current cap situation does not warrant any buying on deadline day, he will shed salary by ridding of forward Petr Nedved, and defenseman Mike Rathje, as both have heavy salaries (Nedved- 2.8mil, Rathje 3.5).

No truth to Bertuzzi-Ottawa Rumours
There was some talk in the last few days that Ottawa Senators general manager John Muckler was trying to acquire Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi, to make the teams chances of the Cup even stronger. However, according to a Toronto source, there is not a single bit of truth in it. Muckler is currently looking at Olli Jokinen, and possibly St. Louis' Dallas Drake.

Nolan will wait until off-season to sign with team

Owen Nolan has decided to take the rest of the year off and work back into game shape for the off-season, when he'll make himself an available UFA. It is still expected that Owen Nolan will sign with the San Jose Sharks, however many things could change by the summer.

Western Canadian Battle for Arnason?
A source is suggesting that both Kevin Lowe's Edmonton Oilers and Daryl Sutter's Calgary Flames are most interested in Chicago youngster Tyler Arnason. The source also mentions that the Philadelphia Flyers may be interested, but they are likely chasing bigger things in likes of Reechi and Jokinen.

Tkachuk Staying in St. Louis
It looks like Keith Tkachuk may not be on the move after all. The St. Louis Blues have an option on Tkachuk's contract, and according to a reliable source, it looks like they'll be picking it up. Many wondered and speculated that Tkachuk would eventually waive it, with the pressure from the organization and interest from top teams.

Clarke in the market for a forward and defenseman
Philadelphia Flyers general manager Bobby Clarke will look to add a replacement for injured forward Keith Primeau, and will also be in the market for a defenseman. Clarke is looking towards forwards Olli Jokinen, Keith Tkachuk (he would have to waive his trade clause), and Mark Reechi, while he may be looking at Phoenix's Derek Morris, Minnesota's Willie Mitchell and Andrei Zyuzin, and St. Louis' Eric Weinrich on defense. There has been quite a bit of talk that Eric Weinrich will return to Philadelphia, but according to a source, it appears as though Clarke is looking closely at Morris.
